The Eastern Trail Management District (ETMD) is a semi-municipal organization established in 2001 to oversee the long-term stewardship of the Eastern Trail in southern Maine.

The ETMD’s mission is to develop and maintain a four-season, multi-use trail for transportation and recreation between Kittery and South Portland, Maine. It also coordinates municipal management and maintenance of existing trail segments.
